Blaine Anderson | Favourite scenes in S4

quo usque tandem abutere patientia mea: When they announced that Kurt was going to have a boyfriend in season...

sedfierisentioetexcrucior:

When they announced that Kurt was going to have a boyfriend in season 2 i was excited, i thought “finally my baby is going to have someone who loves him for who he is and with whom he can grow and learn and be cute and he can kiss and get sexy with yay!” i was so happy, honestly. When we found out that Sam wouldn’t be the lucky fellow i was a little disappointed because i had seen nice chemistry in the shower scene in Duets but then they introduced Blaine and i was content again. I side-eyed him in Special Education and SLS, i side-eyed both him and Kurt in BIOTA and almost stopped wanting them together in Sexy (that gas pains comment still makes me see red) but then they kissed and i squealed like a baby pig and started liking them again. All was well. Then season 3 came around and it all went to shit. Kurt shouldn’t have asked Blaine to change schools for him, imo, but he asked he didn’t force Blaine to do anything then Blaine made that little speech about not wanting to be apart from the person he loves and my radar went on with the sound of foreshadowing and i was right…then he auditions with A TONY SONG even thought he “didn’t want to audition for the role of Tony” and all i could think about was BULLSHIT and then Kurt got him flowers to congratulate him and he said that shit about zigging instead of zagging and that was the moment for me: Kurt’s face when he saw he had been chosen to play OFFICER KRUPKE (SOME BULLSHIT HERE) was heartbreaking but Blaine didn’t even notice, some boyfriend. Then TFT came around and that episode sealed for me the end of my Klaine-shipping days. What pissed me off about that episode the most wasn’t actually the car scene but the fact that Blaine never told Kurt the truth about his and Rachel’s conversation with Artie. Rachel admitted to Finn what the boy had said to her and Blaine during rehearsal but Blaine never told Kurt that THIS was the reason why he went from “don’t worry i still have masturbation” to “wanting to experience everything while they are young”…and then the last strike for me: his apology to Rachel for not being able to have sex with Kurt to become a more convincing Tony. HIS APOLOGY TO RACHEL WAS MORE HEARTFELT THAN THAT “SORRY I WAS DRUNK” TO KURT. KURT WAS THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY DESERVED AN APOLOGY, NOT RACHEL, instead we have Kurt apologizing to Blaine for not being his “gaybar superstar” what a bunch of bullshit. I started shipping Klaine because they started off as friends and because they always seemed to be honest to each other but in season 3 it was all ruined. When they had problems they never discussed them they both just bottled all up until they either exploded or ended up doing something stupid: Blaine avoiding Kurt in DWS to prepare himself to their separation once Kurt was in NY, Kurt allowing Chandler to text him, Blaine talking to Sebastian behind Kurt’s back, Blaine fucking CHEATING on Kurt…all this was done because they never talked, the writers never had them talk to each other…so why shoul i ship them now? Why should i root for them? Because they are supposed to be soulmates? That’s bullshit and you know why: people fall in love and then they work hard on their relationship to make it work and how do they do that? THEY TALK TO EACH OTHER, talking to your partner is the first thing to do when you have a problem, not the last. I’ve seen nothing in these past 2 seasons that suggests me that Kurt and Blaine before the cheating were in a functioning relationship, so why should i ship? I’m part of the LGBTQPAI community and I don’t want THEM TO REPRESENT ME ON TV because they are the opposite of what a functioning relationship is like. Now please find them new love interests so I can stop raging everytime i watch the Kurt edits and am forced to see that gelled loser being a creep and wanting to fucking propose to my baby

Julian is Logan's diva: What I don't understand is that even if we assume the Klaine box scene is canon, it's not a binding legal contract.

People change their minds about relationships all the time. Kurt has had a lot of new experiences over the past year. The Kurt that said yes had barely left Lima and constantly had his goals thwarted.

Plus, I’m pretty sure…

Most people who commented on this don’t seem to get exactly what this is referring to…
Blaine’s individual angst was not a consequence.  And the whole argument that Blaine was the “only” one that felt bad for what they did/didn’t make excuses/had consequences is total crap.  Other characters have faced more consequences for cheating than him…
When Quinn cheated, the entire pregnancy storyline happened
When Rachel cheated, Finn broke up with her and it stayed that way for nearly the entire season.
When Mercedes cheated, she felt bad about it (much more than Blaine if you’ve actually been watching the show!), broke up with her current boyfriend Shane, and did not date Sam for quite some time…
Those are only a few examples, of course, but there are others.  As for Blaine, the only consequence (because his “angst” storyline wasn’t a consequence) was Kurt breaking up with him, but unlike in the situations with Quinn, Rachel, Mercees, and others, there is a key difference here…Blaine was NOT shown to be in the wrong!!!
Blaine didn’t experience any real consequences (besides Kurt breaking up with him) because he was shown to be in the right!!!  Rachel/Quinn/Mercedes/others were shown to be completely wrong for cheating (and rightfully so!) where as Blaine had his angst stroyline where he got a crap ton of support where he was apparently “beating himself up too much” and was even called a hero!  I mean, come on people- how was he experiencing consequences or learning from his mistakes when people were like, oh no it’s fine you cheating, nbd, you’re awesome and a hero!!1
As for Blaine not making any excuses, all of you obviously didn’t watch 4x04 where he blamed Kurt for driving him to cheat due to Kurt not paying enough attention to him.

everyone else got called out for it, had to experience actual anger both from the person they cheated on, and their friends on behalf of that person. not even kurt’s brother or father showed any defensiveness of kurt whatsoever in this storyline beyond finn’s “why’d you do that to him?” (which was actually said with more gentleness/genuine curiosity than anger or protectiveness)

Reasons why Glee is stupid, #436363637

Out of all the musicals they could’ve chosen from, at McKinley they decide to do West Side Story which is one of the most difficult musicals to sing.

For the role of Maria a soprano is needed. It’s okay because the Glee club has a girl who can hit those notes…no that girl is not Rachel Berry. The only girl in Glee club who could have handled Maria vocally is Mercedes Jones. But Mercedes is black and not a size 2 so they decide to give the part to both her and Rachel, instead of doing the right thing and give only to Mercedes the role. Mercedes of course is pissed and refuses, letting Rachel perform every night as Maria. Rachel does the best she can of course but she sounds thin and strained. Conclusion: Beiste, Emma and Artie are idiots.(i love all these 3 characters but they were idiots here)

The role of Tony now. Blaine visually is a pretty perfect Tony, let’s be honest and this is why they chose him in the end. They chose him because he is visually the perfect Tony and because they are incompetent fools. Why are they incompetent fools? Because Blaine cannot handle it vocally. Tony has a very smooth, silky voice but also a voice full of vibrato. If you want to sing a Tony song you have to have a vibrato and Blaine wouldn’t recognize a vibrato if it smacked him in the face. He auditioned with a Tony song and sang it poorly, as the amateur that he is. Now i suggest you go on youtube and look for the song “Maria”. That song is full of vibrato and i thank Grilled Cheesus everyday that RIB+ didn’t make Darren sing that song on the show because he would have murdered it. Kurt auditioned with a song from Funny Girl, I’m the greatest star, and maybe that wasn’t the smartest choice but it showcased the impressive control Kurt has over his voice. Emma, Artie and Beiste should have recognized that the quality of Kurt’s voice alone would’ve made him a better Tony than Blaine ever could be, instead we got that scene with Romeo!Kurt where Kurt actually played the role really well and everybody laughed at him. What i got from that? Emma, Beiste, Artie and Rachel are all incompetent fools who put Kurt in a box and REFUSED to see and recognize his talent because he is not the ideal Tony, visually he is not leading material, nevermind the fact that he, unlike Blaine, can vocally handle Tony and judging by his Romeo performance is more than capable of playing a male lead, even though he doesn’t look like one (and he doesn’t look costipated when he sings, i’m looking at both Blaine and Rachel here).

Mercedes and Kurt got screwed over by the narrow-mindness of people who are more interested in seeing a plausible-looking Tony/Maria instead of looking for someone who may not look ideal for the role but can actually handle it better. The result was this: Rachel and Blaine looked very nice in their costumes but sounded strained and thin (both of them) on the songs (and are apparently such mediocre actors that they had to coerce their boyfriends into having sex with them to be more believable).

We could’ve had Mercedes sounding heavenly (like she did in Not Getting Married), we could’ve had Kurt sounding absolutely stunning on Maria (i get emotional just thinking about it) but unfortunately she is too black and too ‘not-thin’ and he is too flamboyant and in-your-face gay, right?

And thinking that this was born as a show who celebrated the underdogs…

Kurt’s first and last words through the seasons.

apparently the only canon kurt friendship i support now is hummelberry. because both santana and mercedes have made him answer awkward questions about blaine. in public. good job, girls. so supportive.
